Types of Funeral Services
Experiencing the loss of a family member or friend can be hard and very painful. While you are grieving, planning a funeral on a budget that honors your loved one can seem like a huge burden on your shoulders. Lucky for you, many funeral homes like Trinity Memorial Gardens will honor your loved one by providing several types of services, including the planning of many logistic details, so that you can focus on time with your family and friends, instead of the planning of a funeral.
Before you let a funeral home take the reins of your loved one’s funeral, you should know what type of funeral service you would like so that a funeral home can prepare the body and the service properly. Trinity Memorial Gardens offers a variety of different services, including:
Burials
There are 3 types of burial services: graveside funeral services, committal services, and immediate burials. Graveside services allow you to choose where the grave/service will be, and you can work with the funeral director to choose speakers, readings, and military honors. You can also choose the memorial, whether it’s a classic gravestone, upright monument, or mausoleum. Committal services involve a visit to the site of the burial after a traditional funeral service, typically set in a religious house of worship or other venue. Immediate burials are often the most “affordable” option and happen unexpectedly, with the funeral home taking care of the body without any service or formal ceremony.
Cremation
Cremation is becoming a very popular option since you can decorate and honor the life of a loved one at a separate location, as well as inside your home. If you choose cremation, you can also have a graveside or committal service, and your funeral director will work with you to choose flowers and decorations to honor your loved one. You can also choose to do ash scattering, which will allow you to creatively heal, let go, and memorialize a life through scattered remains.
